Christmas part 1

Christmas

The problem with shopping on Christmas Eve is that there is really nothing left! Raven ran around the mall looking for anything for Beast Boy. She had bought everyone else a present except him. A big part of the problem was that she had no idea what to get him. Raven was just pulling her brand new coat out of her bag when her communicator went off.
“Raven!” Robin’s voice came, “we’ve got trouble; the Hive Five broke into the Wally’s Jewelry Shop. Be careful they’ve got some kind of new weapon. Please, hurry down there and we’ll meet you there.” He finished. She shut her communicator and tried to hurry out of the busy mall. Wally’s Jewelry Shop was a block away from the there. When she got there Beast Boy was already trying to take on Gismo and See-More at the same time. Raven rushed over to help Beast Boy, she threw a chair at Gismo sending him across the store and through a glass cabinet causing shattered glass to fly everywhere. While Beast Boy turn into a ram and slammed See-More into the same now broken glass cabinet. He looked at Raven and smiled.
“Thanks.” He stated.
“How did you get here so fast?” asked Raven also noticing she wasn’t the only one in her normal clothes.
“Oh ah… last minute shopping.” he replied. He started running towards Mammoth. Mammoth turned right in time to knock Beast Boy across the store with his massive fists. Gismo was now back up and was laughing hysterically.
“We’ll take you two love birds any day!” he snickered.
“Were not in love and we’re not love birds!!!” screamed Raven and Beast Boy at the same time. Then rest of the team came in. Cyborg kicked Gismo into the brick wall nearby and laughed.
“How did that feel Tech Geek?” Cyborg asked. Then Gismo shook himself off and shouted towards See-More, who was now taking on Raven, “Give me the DG!” See-More grinned, reached into is pocket and pulled out what looked like a small water gun. He chucked at Gismo. He caught and threw a discharger at Cy’s back, this caused him to fall over with no power. Raven picked up a shelf with her magic and chucked it at See-More. He dodged it and started laughing. Then what happen next happen next went so fast that Raven didn’t even time to react. See-More continued to laugh and said
“SEE ya later!” Raven, who was now confused, just glared at him. He continued to grinned and started to wave towards her. What came next confused her even more. She was in a complete daze, she looked up at Starfire staring at her in horror. She heard her name being screamed but before she could see who it was calling her something collided into her body. She fell to the ground and pain shot threw her entire body. Her headache she had was now becoming a huge migraine. Everything was in a blur. She felt dizzy and sick. Then the next thing she saw before her eyes shut was a blinding white light. She thought she might have died and was in heaven but then brushed the idea off. She knew when she die she was not going to heaven. Then she was unconscious.

Raven was finally waking up. She felt a sharp pain pass through her body. She tried to scream but she couldn’t find her voice. There was something heavy on her chest. She couldn’t move or speak. Then as fast as the sharp pain started it dissipated. Raven felt her whole body go limp. ‘What the hell is going on?’ she thought. She couldn’t see anything but black. Then she heard a far away voice her.
“Raven!” it yelled yet she couldn’t tell where it was coming from. “Raven! Can you hear me?” it asked. She opened her mouth to scream ‘yes!’ but all that came out was a muffled moan. She finally forced her eyes open. Her vision was blurry at first but then became clearer. Then she could see gorgeous green eyes staring down at her. Beast Boy was now standing over her gazing down at her.
“Rae!?!?!” he asked in hushed whisper. He then dove down and wrapped her in a death wrap. “OH RAE! I thought you left me forever!” he screamed in relief and joy. “Oh my hell!!! I thought you died! I thought I was never gonna see your gorgeous violet eyes or hear you sweet beautiful voice again!” he repeated over again. He still had her in a bear hug and was now petting her head repeating. Then he kissed her head and froze there. “Uh yeah uh….” He mumbled totality embarrassed and his cheeks were very red. He laughed a shy little laugh. “I guess I got little carried away?”
“You think?” she asked shocked and annoyed. That when she realize her surroundings. She stared at the blizzard around her. “Where are we?” she asked shivering realizing then that she was cold. They were in the middle of nowhere all you could see was white snow everywhere.
“I don’t know.” Mumble Beast Boy also looking around. “All I remember is Gismo shooting that strange gun, me trying to knock you out of the way then a flash and then I blacked out. When I woke up we were here.” He explained still looking around. Raven slowly stood up and put her hand to her temple. She gently rubbed it as she thought. Her head was killing her and she still felt sick like something was missing from her. She couldn’t figure it out but something was different about her.
“Well lets try to call Robin.” Said Raven pulling out her communicator “Robin! Robin come in!” she said pushing the red button “Robin can you hear me?” she asked. All she got was static.
“Plan two?” asked Beast Boy sarcastically as he put his hand in his black coat pockets. “Where do the coordinates say we are?” She push some buttons on her communicator.
“Uh… somewhere in Antarctica….” She paused for a minute “I think…”
“Well maybe you can transport us outta here?” he suggested He moved closer to her ready for dark force to in gulf them but nothing happened. Raven looked at her hands in confusion.
“Uh… Azarath Metrion Zinthos!” she yelled nothing happened. Then it hit Raven like a ton of bricks. She felt confused, empty, and angry. She let her body fall to her knees on the snowy ground. She stared at the snow in shock.
“What the matter?” asked Beast Boy kneeling down also and looked at her with worried eyes.
“They took them.” she Murmured
“What?” he asked again not understanding.
“They took my POWERS!” she yelled furious now that sent a shock wave of pain through her body. She then realized what was missing not only her powers but her emotions were gone too. No annoying talking she couldn’t hear anything but her own thoughts.
“They took your powers?” he questioned again finally understanding.
“Yes.” She whispered in total shock. No thoughts, opinions, explanations just her own thoughts, she felt like laying down and crying ‘til she died. She wanted her powers to be gone since she was little but now that they were gone she felt helpless. Beast Boy looked around and back her and saw a tear slide down her cheek.
“Hey it will be okay…” he said trying comfort her, he hug her but she didn’t even move. “Maybe we can find a place to get out the snow… like a cabin or a cave or something.” he thought out loud. Raven looked at him she knew he was right.
“Your right it feels like minus 100 degrees out here, but I don’t want to get up.” She sobbed a little.
“Well I could always carry you.” He suggested as he grinned.
“No, I think I’ll just stay here and freeze.” She replied stubbornly
“Oh no you’re not! You’re coming with me!” he said just as stubborn picking her up bride style.
“Put me down.” she cried throwing her arms around his neck. “If you drop me I will hurt you!” she threatened. He then began to laugh.
“I couldn’t drop you! You’re too damn light, you never eat remember?” he teased.
He gently put her on her feet. “Come on.” He said grabbing her wrist and started trudging through the snow. They wandered around the snowy desert until they came across a small cave. Beast Boy ran inside Raven wrapped her coat around her skinny figure as she walked into the cave. Inside there was already a small camp fire and tiny sleeping bag.
“Somebody has already been here.” Said Beast Boy
“Yeah but where did they go?” asked Raven looking around the cave.
“Hmmm… maybe he or she went to look for civilization.” He said thoughtfully now he was going through the sleeping bag.
“Well maybe I want to find civilization too.” Shot Raven “Maybe there’ll be a phone there.”
“So let me get this straight you want to keep looking?” he asked
“YES” she replied
“Well I want to stay here!” he pouted. He crossed his arms and glared at her. “It’s warm here and my feet hurt!” he whined
“Oh does poor little Beastie Boo have sore feet?” asked Raven in a very strange cutesy monotone. Beast Boy looked at her puzzled. “Let me help you with that!” she said walking over to him. She then smacked him in the head.
“Ow! What the hell was that for?” he yelled rubbing the top of his head.
“Oh I’m sorry but now guess what! Your head and feet both hurt now you know what hell I’m going through! Besides I made you stop thinking about your feet for a second. Now get up, lets go, if we don’t find anything then we can come back in an hour” she replied.
“Fine!” he shot back. He got up and followed Raven out the cave.

They walked around for another 30minutes but them it felt like an eternity. They finally stopped when they came across a frozen lake.
“Well I don’t think I want to go around it so lets just go over it looks like it strong enough.” Said Raven knocking on the ice.
“I don’t know….” Began Beast Boy eyeing the ice. “It looks too dangerous maybe we should just go around huh?” he replied.
“Is this coming from the guy who was complaining that his poor little feet hurt?” Shot Raven. “I think we’ll be fine as long we don’t jump on it or anything like that.” She said standing up and slowly walking on it.
“I don’t think it will hold!” stuttered Beast Boy but Raven continued to ignore him and now was about five feet from him. She turned around and put her hands on her hips.
“Would you just trust me? I know what I’m….” She started but then looked down at her feet then back at Beast Boy. He stared at her in horror as he watched and heard the ice crack underneath her feet. Raven let out a scream as she fell into the ice-cold water. Raven tried to swim to the top but when she was almost there her whole body went numb. The cold water stung and made her muscles cramp up. She reached up to grab the jagged ice but couldn’t make it. She needed air, her lungs felt like they were going to burst. She felt dizzy she slowly closed her eyes. Beast Boy grabbed Raven’s hand and pulled her up out of the water. She coughed and shook from the coldness. Beast Boy picked her up and slowly took her off the ice. She continued to shake and Beast Boy knew she needed heat fast.
“Hold on Rae, I’m taking you back to the cave.” He said wrapped her closer to his warm body. Beast Boy carried Raven back to the cave they found. He hurried in and opened the sleeping bag next to the fire. Now shivering Raven fought to keep her eyes open, fought to keep her body controllable while her teeth were chattering, her whole body was so cold that it was numb, her lips were blue, she fought to not just close her eyes. 'All signs of hypothermia' thought Raven  Beast Boy put Raven inside the sleeping bag and zipped it up. “Rest, you need your sleep.” He smiled, She shook her head.
“B…e..as..t Bo..y I neeed… your hel..p.” she whimpered
“What?” asked Beast Boy, concerned.
“I’m not going t…o be…abl…e to do.. ittt by my..self since I’m losin…g consiccousnesss.” She chattered
“What?” he asked again
“Beast…Boy” she said as serious as she could.
“Yes?” he asked he was getting annoyed.
“ I neeed you to helppp mee take off my clothesss.” She said sharply. Beast Boy stiffened up. He was very uncomfortable.
“You want me to do what?” he coked out.
“Pleasse!” she begged. “I coulddd get hypothermia or frossst bite! My boddy is cooold, wett and I have icy cooold clothesss on.” Her eyes drooped a little. She felt exhausted and it didn’t help that Beast Boy was arguing with her.
“Rae I would love to help you but you actually trust someone like me? Even if you do I don’t trust myself!” he said now pacing around the cave.
“Beassst Boy lisssten to mee I neeed you now I don’t want to dieee! I know you don’t wanttt mee to die! Ssso jussst helppp meee pleassse I trussst you!” she said fading in and out.
“I don’t want you to die but I can’t! It would only ruin our friendship!” He yelled slamming his fist into a wall.
“Beassst Boy I trussst you! You’ve handled you yourssself before!” He shook his head. “Heavensssake Beassst Boy! You’ve slept in the same bed with me and handled yourself before! She said with all her might. She was referring to the time she had that nightmare and Beast Boy had stay in the same bed with her the whole night. A dizzy spell swept over her. She let eyes close but only for a moment then she force them back open. With all the strength left inside her she soft said, “Think of meee jussst don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.” Then she went unconscious.
